Ed Kanoi is one of Hawaii's most recognized voices, having been on the air in Hawaii since the early 70's. His love for the radio medium shows every moment he's on the air.  Ed's dad is a great muscian and instilled in him a love of music. "I tried to play the saxophone, but I could never make it sound like my father so I thought I'd better find another line of work", says Ed. It's this love of all kinds of music that went hand in hand when I discovered the world of radio before graduating from Waipahu High School. Besides Oahu Ed has been on the radio on Kauai, with Ed Kaahea of Booga Booga, and on the Big Island. Having grown up in Pearl City Ed says it's great to be home (although Kauai will always have a special place in his heart).

When not doing the morning show, or taking care of his management responsibilities here at Salem Media of Hawaii, Ed spends his day with his two son's Elijah, 3 and Ezekiel, 1. "They're a handful, but the keep me grounded...and working!" says a tired Mr. Kanoi.
