Steven Tyler Spotted At So. Cal Home Depot
Steven Tyler gave some Southern California shoppers a thrill over the weekend. "Classic Rock" reports that the estranged-Aerosmith frontman was at a Home Depot in Rancho Mirage, California on Saturday when he decided to sing a few tunes. The 61-year-old rocker reportedly picked up a store mic and sang two of Aerosmith's hits, "Dude (Looks Like a Lady)" and "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing." TMZ.com also reports that an onlooker at the home improvement chain said, quote, "Steven also swallowed a few mouthfuls of gas from a helium machine, for blowing up balloons, and kept singing in a high-pitched Bee Gees style. He was very relaxed though, and happily signed autographs for anyone who asked."
It's the second time in recent memory that Tyler has made an impromptu public performance. The rocker also took the stage at a karaoke bar in Palm Springs, California earlier this month where he again belted out the "Armageddon" movie anthem "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing." Meanwhile, Aerosmith says it's auditioning new singers to allow Tyler time to get his health in order following a December trip to rehab for an addiction to painkillers.
